The Terror season 1 is a historical horror story about the ill-fated Franklin Expedition, which follows two Royal Navy ships, the HMS Erebus and HMS Terror, as they become trapped in the Arctic ice while searching for the Northwest Passage in 1847. The synopsis involves the crew's desperate struggle to survive the harsh conditions, internal conflict, and a mysterious, monstrous creature that stalks them.
