"Life" is a 1999 American buddy comedy-drama film directed by Ted Demme, featuring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. The film follows the story of two friends, Ray Gibson and Claude Banks, who are wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Over the course of 65 years, they navigate the harsh realities of Parchman Farm, enduring hardships, kindness, cruelty, and forgiveness, while maintaining their friendship and hope for freedom. The film is framed as a story told by an elderly inmate, Willie Long, who recounts their lives and the legacy of their friendship.
