Steve Coogan reprises his iconic role as Alan Partridge, the famously inept but self‑important local radio DJ and former talk show host, in this 2013 British comedy film based on the BBC series. When North Norfolk Digital Radio is taken over by a new media conglomerate, Alan’s hopes for a career revival are dashed. However, his troubles escalate when his sacked colleague Pat Farrell (Colm Meaney) returns to the station with a shotgun and begins holding everyone hostage. Called in by the police to act as a hostage negotiator, Alan must try to reason with Pat and defuse the tense situation. The film blends satire, slapstick, and British humour, exploring whether Alan can turn the tables and save the day — or if he’ll end up just another footnote in broadcasting history.
