Survival & Other Stories is the fourteenth solo album by Jon Anderson, legendary vocalist of Yes, originally released in 2011 and now set for a reissue. The album is deeply personal, emerging from a transformative period in Anderson’s life after surviving a near-fatal illness. From that experience came a renewed creative spark: Jon invited musicians from around the world to send him music through his website. The result was a global collaboration, uniting a wide spectrum of styles and cultural voices into a cohesive musical vision. Composed, arranged, and co-produced alongside his wife Jane Anderson, the album reflects themes of healing, unity, and hope. Spanning progressive rock, ambient textures, orchestral elements, and world influences, Survival & Other Stories is the first in a conceptual trilogy — a collection of 11 soul-stirring tracks delivered with Anderson’s signature vocal spirit and lyrical optimism.
