A Farewell to Kings would become Rush's first US gold-selling album, receiving the certification within two months of it's release, and was eventually certified platinum. Geddy Lee originally wrote his bass lines on his acoustic bass. The singles included 'Closer to the Heart' and 'Cinderella Man,' while the album peaked at #33 on the Billboard 200 and #22 on the U.K. album charts.
