In Everybody Loves Raymond season 7, the main plot follows Robert's involvement with a self-help group, which he joins to deal with the constant conflict between Marie and Debra. Ray ultimately orchestrates a fake intervention with the rest of the family to bring Marie and Debra together, using the group's attention-seeking tactics. Other plots include Ray writing a eulogy for his father that is accidentally sent out and the family meeting Amy's parents for the first time.
