"Copying Beethoven" is a 2006 dramatic film that offers a fictionalized take on the life of Ludwig van Beethoven. Anna Holtz, a young music student and aspiring composer, is sent to assist Beethoven in transcribing his scores. The film explores the complexities of their relationship, Beethoven's difficult personality, and Anna's struggle between her artistic vision and her romantic interests. The narrative also delves into Beethoven's tumultuous relationship with his nephew, Karl van Beethoven, and the challenges he faces in his final years.
