Season 6 of Boy Meets World focuses on the main characters' first year of college at Pennbrook University. Cory and Topanga navigate their engagement while dealing with the challenges of early marriage and living on their own. Shawn and Angela's relationship faces significant turbulence, including Shawn's father's death and a potential separation. Eric, after losing Rachel to Jack, finds new purpose by becoming a "Big Brother" to an orphan named Tommy. The season also features the birth of Joshua Matthews, Cory's younger brother, and culminates in the friends scattering as they pursue their individual paths, with Cory and Topanga heading to New York and others joining the Peace Corps or going overseas.
