Since their 2000 formation in Kalamazoo, MI, Greensky Bluegrass—Anders Beck [dobro], Michael Arlen Bont [banjo], Dave Bruzza [guitar], Mike Devol [upright bass], and Paul Hoffman [mandolin]—have unassumingly progressed into a phenomenon on their own terms with the undying support of a devout audience. Throughout the years, they've earned critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Parade, NPR, and Rolling Stone, who hailed them as "representing the genre for a whole new generation."
In celebration of the band's 25th anniversary, they are releasing an album filled with new versions of fan favorites from their celebrated catalog. Special guest artists will be featured on some of the tracks, beginning with "Can't Stop Now (feat. Sam Bush)." The bluegrass music staple, originally released by New Grass Revival, began to appear on the band's live setlist over a dozen years ago. Originally recorded by GSBG and released as part of 2021's The Leap Year Sessions: Volume 1, this new version of the track features legendary mandolin player Sam Bush, known for his progressive bluegrass stylings and International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inducted band, New Grass Revival.
