Yukikaze - Danger Zone (Vol. 1) is the first volume of an anime series about the war between Earth and an alien race known as the JAM, which has been raging for 33 years through a portal in Antarctica. The plot focuses on the elite Special Air Force (SAF), particularly pilot Rei Fukai and his advanced, semi-sentient fighter jet, Yukikaze. The first volume introduces the conflict and sets up a central mystery when Yukikaze identifies a friendly fighter as hostile, leading Rei to shoot it down and raising questions about the enemy's infiltration tactics and the true nature of the Yukikaze system.
